Stephanie Raffelock, in this excellent post on the WellPostpartum blog, talks about the ideal kind of diet for pregnant women, particularly referring to the Paleo diet which “refers back to Paleo times when human beings were hunter/gatherers and lived on diets of protein, vegetables and moderate amounts of seasonal fruit.”

The best part of following this diet is that it takes us back to that basic household task – cooking, something that is being increasingly neglected in many homes in favor of eating out. I find cooking to be a cathartic experience and one that helps me actually focus better, that way keeping my worries at bay, at least temporarily. Anyway, the article made for good reading.
